Abbott recalls its number 1 Similac powdered infant formulas. The recall was due possible Bettle contamination of the infant formula. The company has recalled around 5 million units of Similac in the US, Puerto Rico, Guam and

other Caribbean markets.Abbott’s stock has risen 4.5% since the alert was issued. It is estimated the returns will cut about US$100 million from its third quarter revenue.
Abbott Laboratories which trades as ABT in NYSE is a pharmaceuticals health care company. The infant formula maker posted revenue of US$30.8 Billion for the financial year -2009. It produces range of products including drug for arthritis, treatment for HIV etc.,.
DADT Stays on.

The US Senate today struck down a bill that would end DADT with a vote of 56-43. 60 votes was needed to pass the bill. The voting was along party lines with 2 Democrats voting to keep DADT

In 1993, then President Bill Clinton signed an executive order which bans gays from serving openly in the military. The 25 year old has a long history of knee issues. The Monday night injury does not augur well for his prospects. He won’t be undergoing surgery. But would undergo an MRI scan to check for any unanticipated complications. The injury will put him on the sidelines for the next 6 weeks.
Despite the loss of Bush, Saint managed to score a win against San Francisco 49ers with the final score being the 25-22 victory.
